Workshops/Events Ayurveda and Yoga Workshops
Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga and is an ancient healing modality that teaches us how to live in harmony with nature. Ayurveda stresses prevention and maintenance of health, living a balanced lifestyle by paying close attention to our lifestyle practices, diet, exercise, sleep etc. Ayurveda teaches that by being mindful and staying healthy we can prevent "dis-ease" and have increased vitality and immunity. *Workshops coming soon!* |
Yoga at School
With 17 years elementary classroom experience, the majority in kindergarten (nothing scares me!) I am so excited to be able to offer yoga and mindful movement at your school or youth program. I am passionate about teaching children about healthy living and offering them self-regulation skills and tools to navigate life's challenges.
I completed a Kids Yoga training with Yoga in My School in October 2017 and have offered yoga at schools since then to numerous classes ranging from K-6. Classes can be easily themed to integrate with the BC curriculum. Email me for more information: [email protected] |
New to Yoga? Have you always wanted to try yoga but not sure where to start? I've been there and clearly remember my first class at the newly opened YMCA in Surrey. I was nervous and not really sure what to expect and didn't really know what yoga was all about, but I went anyway. It was challenging and definitely work, but I loved it!
My classes are small (4-8 people usually) so need to worry about a big, intimidating room full of people. I want you to feel welcomed and at ease in the cozy studio. You don't need to wear anything fancy, just dress comfortably and if you don't have a mat, we have some for you to use. Plus lots of props and blankets to add to your experience. Tea is served at the end of the class which is a lovely way to finish the class. I especially love teaching beginners and have had students of all ages, (teenagers to 83) so bring a smile and an open mind. Come, try a class.. there's a mat with your name on it! Still have questions? Feel free to email me. |
