About Lynn Power
Everyone finds yoga for a different reason. What I love about yoga is that there is no prerequisite. None. Zip. Zero. If you can move and breath, you can do yoga. Yoga is for every BODY, including yours. Most people don't realize how good their bodies are designed to feel and when you start to connect movement to breath, you will experience just how amazing yoga can be. Think of movement as medicine and self-care. So no matter where you are at in your life or what's going on in your body, start there. Show up, do what you can and just keep at it!
I began practicing yoga about 15 years ago as a way to complement long distance running, hoping to gain some flexibility to counter the effects of too many miles. What I didn't expect was to fall in love with the quiet calmness of the practice. I was hooked and never looked back. Later, it became healing tool to navigate a major life transition.
In 2016, after a few years of just thinking about doing my 200 Hour Teacher Training, I decided to stop making excuses and knew it was time to get out of my comfort zone. Fast forward to almost two years later and now a certified yoga instructor, I wonder why I waited so long! It has been an amazing journey, taught me so much about myself and now I can share this powerful, healing practice with others. I began teaching almost right away and as nervous as I was, am so thankful I didn't wait.
I have continued to study and learn, completing many training courses since my initial 200 hour certification.
My classes are thoughtfully planned, well balanced and open to anyone. I want you to feel welcomed and at ease and my intention is to provide safe, clear, alignment based instruction. My style is light and playful; expect to move, breath, have fun and maybe even sweat a little.
