Class Descriptions- Which One Should I Try?
Gentle Yoga
This is a slower paced class, but you will still be moving mindfully from sitting to standing poses. You will learn simple breathwork, basic asana (poses) and good alignment. Occasionally it will include yin or restorative poses. You should have the ability to bear weight on your hands. This is an all levels class and modifications will be offered. Everyone is welcome and it is a good choice for beginners or anyone returning to yoga after an injury or illness.

Flow Yoga

Restorative / YinRestorative yoga is a passive style of yoga using lots of props, bolsters and blankets with most poses done on the ground and held for 5-10 minutes at a time. The focus is to be still and let your body be at ease without effort. This is a very healing. quiet practice that will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Yin yoga is similar in that it is a quiet reflective practice, but the focus is to intentionally and appropriately stress the connective tissues, which requires the poses be held for 3- 5 minutes at a time. A great balance to a more active, dynamic yoga practice. |
